近兩個月，有兩份可能是關於口罩的最大規模的系統性醫學研究分別結論：(1) 口罩完全無用，(2) 副作用不可知，不宜強制口罩。

「隨機對照試驗的綜合結果顯示，使用醫用/外科口罩並未明顯減少呼吸道病毒感染。在醫護人員日常護理中，使用醫用/外科口罩與N95/P2呼吸器相比，對減少呼吸道病毒感染沒有明顯差異。」(註一)

「口罩的副作用必須根據其對減少病毒傳播的有效性的證據進行評估（風險與效益）。在缺乏強有力的實證證據支持口罩有效性的情況下，不應該強制要求佩戴口罩，更不應該通過法律強制實施。」 (註二)
